Cindy is a fifth generation Texan from Dallas. She moved to Austin to attend the University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture, receiving a Bachelor of Architecture degree in 2000. She enjoyed internships at Black + Vernooy and Furman + Keil Architects, both in Austin, before joining forces with Rick to practice architecture in 2001. Cindy was licensed by the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners in 2005, and became a member of the American Institute of Architects in 2012.
As a partner in the firm, Cindy contributes to all parts of the architectural process, from schematic design to construction administration. She brings her specialized knowledge from her independent company, Hello Kitchen, which offers architectural services for kitchen renovations and additions. With this venture she has consulted with several hundred clients about how to improve their cooking spaces through good design.
Cindy is involved in the Austin design community, and has been a guest speaker at several architecture symposiums: the UT School of Architecture Centennial Anniversary, CRAN (Custom Residential Architecture Network), Architecture + Desire Panel at Women & their Work. In support of the practice of architecture, Cindy serves as Outreach Commissioner for AIA Austin, and is a member of Preservation Austin and the Institute of Classical Arts & Architecture (ICAA).
Cindy & Rick have a ten year old son, JR, who continually provides laughter and excitement in their lives.
